Terms of Use: Glimpse

Welcome to Glimpse (“Glimpse,” “we,” “us,” “our”). These Terms govern your use of the Glimpse mobile app and website (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility & Accounts

  • You must be 18+ (or older where required by law).

  • Keep your login secure; you’re responsible for activity on your account.

  • You can delete your account anytime in Settings → Account → Delete Account.

2. Your Content & License to Glimpse

  • You own your content.

  • When you post content (e.g., photos, captions), you grant Glimpse a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to host, store, display, reproduce, modify (e.g., crop/resize), distribute, and otherwise use your content to operate, provide, and improve the Service (including feeds, leaderboards, discovery, and search).

  • We may also use your content to promote the Service (e.g., App Store screenshots, website examples). If you prefer we don’t use your posts in promotional materials, email contact@helloglimpse.com to opt out.

  • This license ends when you delete the content from the Service, except for (i) reasonable time to remove from caches/backups and (ii) limited transitional use where the content already appears in existing promotional materials.

3. Public Nature of Posts

  • Posts are public by default and may be viewed or captured by others. Think before you post.

4. Rules: What You Can’t Do

Don’t post or do anything that is illegal; infringes others’ rights (copyright, trademark, publicity/privacy); hateful or harassing; sexually explicit; violent; doxxing; spam/scams; malware; or interferes with the Service.

Only post content you own or have permission to use. Don’t upload others’ personal data or likeness without permission.

5. Safety, Reporting & Moderation

  • You can report content and block users in-app.

  • We use automated and human review to filter objectionable content and we respond to reports in a timely manner.

  • You can delete your own posts.

  • We may remove content or suspend/terminate accounts at our discretion for safety, legal, or policy reasons.

6. Intellectual Property

Except for your content, materials in the Service (software, design, logos, trademarks) belong to Glimpse or its licensors and are protected by law. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.

7. No Scraping; No Reverse Engineering

No automated access, scraping/crawling, bulk downloading, or rate-abusive use. Don’t attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or bypass security or access controls.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it. It forms part of these Terms. Find it in-app (Settings → Legal) and on our website.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties (including merchantability, fitness, non-infringement) to the fullest extent allowed by law.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Glimpse and its affiliates are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Glimpse and its affiliates from claims arising out of your content, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

12. Copyright & Takedown

If you believe content infringes your rights, email contact@helloglimpse.com with details (the work, the URL/content at issue, your contact info, and a good-faith statement). We may remove or disable content and, where appropriate, terminate repeat infringers.

13. Changes; Service Availability

We may change or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time. We may update these Terms; the “Last Updated” date shows the current version. If you continue using the Service after changes, you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law & Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. Courts located in San Francisco County, California have exclusive jurisdiction, except that either party may bring a claim in small-claims court.
