Privacy Policy: Glimpse

Glimpse (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates the Glimpse mobile app and related website (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use the Service. By using Glimpse, you agree to this Policy.

1) Information We Collect

  • Account Information: Email, username, age, and gender. Profile photos are optional.

  • User Content: Photos, captions, and related information you upload. All posts are public by default.

  • Device, Analytics & Diagnostics: Basic device info (e.g., OS, app version), usage analytics, and diagnostics/crash logs. We use Firebase Analytics (analytics) and Firebase Crashlytics (diagnostics/crash reporting).

  • App Privacy Data Categories: Contact Info (email); Identifiers (user ID/username, device ID); User Content (photos); Usage Data (app interaction); Diagnostics (crash). Not used for tracking or advertising.

  • We do not collect: precise location, contact list, or payment data

  • Cookies: We do not collect cookies in the app. Our website may use basic cookies for functionality.

2) How We Use Information

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Service

  • Display and share public posts and leaderboards

  • Communicate with you about the Service (e.g., updates, support)

  • Enforce Terms, protect safety, prevent abuse and fraud

  • Analyze usage to improve performance and reliability

3) Sharing of Information

We share information with:

  • Service providers (hosting, analytics, crash reporting) under confidentiality obligations

  • Other users, for content you post publicly

  • Legal/Protection reasons, when required by law or to protect rights and safety

  • Business transfers, if we undergo a merger, acquisition, or similar event

We do not sell personal information and do not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising.

4) Your Choices & Rights

  • Delete Posts: You can delete your own posts.

  • Report/Block: You can report content and block users in-app.

  • Account Deletion (In-App): You can delete your account in Settings → Account → Delete Account. When you do, we delete or de-identify your personal data within ~30 days, except where law requires retention

  • Data Requests: Email contact@helloglimpse.com to request access or deletion of your personal information.

5) Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business/legal requirements. After account deletion, we delete or de-identify personal data within ~30 days. Some data may persist briefly in backups and caches; minimal records may be kept as required by law, security, or abuse prevention.

6) Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7) Children’s Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13. If we learn we’ve collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it.

8) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last Updated” date reflects the latest version. Your continued use means you accept the updated Policy.
